VED
With 4 albums and a bunch of EPs (on labels
like Rocket Recordings, Höga Nord, and more),
the Swedish collective that are VED are famed
for creating trance inducing, repetitive music.
Their ever evolving sound has always taken in
many influences, from post-punk and art rock
to free improvisation and the monotonous
explorations of minimalist composers.
Since 2010 they have toured extensively in
Scandinavia, Germany, England, Spain, and
in 2014 in the post-Soviet states of Central
Asia. Their latest album If the door is opened,
it’s opened from the outside was released in
2023 at Malmö label Kontra-Musik – for the
first time featuring vocals on the majority the
tracks.
VED are currently performing live as either a
four, a five or a six piece, depending on the
occasion.
