Tribute To Florian Schneider by Beatchild
27/06/2020

“And now we’re full of energy.

We are the robots”

You cannot talk about electronic music without Kraftwerk & there is no Kraftwerk, without Florian Shneider. With his longtime friend Ralf Hütter he founded ‘Organisation” – apre-Kraftwerk project, with very dense and innovative sound for 1968 & there the “electronic revolution” started. Considering themselves “workers”, Schneider & Hütter conceived and constructed many of the instruments and sound systems that they worked with (electronic flute, Custom drum pads ect).If for rock music there is The Beatles, Kraftwerk is for New Wave, Synth-pop, Hip-hop, dance music, electro & many more – all the artists from these fields owe something to Florian & Ralf.
In the peak of Techno music we face now, all of us also should remember how sonically Kraftwek influenced early 80’s young generation of Detroit with futuristic & mechanical visions & at those times also NYC’s finest Afrika Bambaataa to push the sound that was labeled as “electro” in the future.

Florian gave us futuristic sounds from another world and sounds of “Nostalgia for the Past Futures”

RIP Florian – A True Icon!
